That's Me For Ya!
I never really got to introduce myself properly, so here's my chance, and plus I'm kinda bored.
1. My name is Lizzie, I'm 16 and I'm currently living in Canada. Yes, the land of polar bears, maple syrup and people who enjoy saying "ehh?" I'm not sure why people think Canadians say that, cuz I don't o.o Anyways, technically I was born in Canada, but my parents are from Vietnam.
2. I'm 3/4 Viet and 1/4 Cantonese, because my mom is full Viet while my dad is half-Viet, half-Cantonese. I can only speak Viet though, since I grew up with my mom at home most of the time. Besides Viet, I can speak English (ok that was obvious), French (more like learning), and I wish I could speak Korean! I'm trying to learn through tutorial videos, which are actually quite good at teaching, and videos with romanized subs help, but I'm planning to learn Korean through night school when I'm in University or through one of my friends who's learning right now, and no he's not Korean he's actually from Trinidad.
3. Despite being Asian, I'm horrible at math. Seriously, I don't even know why I am, especially since I go to an Asian school where practically all Asians think math is soft, when I'm struggling through it ~sigh~ And you can bet Math is not my favorite subject either.
My favorite subjects are AP Psychology and AP English. Yup, I'm a nerd, and proud of it! Surprisingly, I do better in my AP classes than I do in math, and AP classes are practically first year University classes, whereas my math class is still at the high school level. Maybe it's the way my brain works...I'll find out through Psych!
4. Like Sungmin, my all-time favorite color is Pink!!!! Although I'm pretty sure Minnie owns more pink stuff than I do! Man do I want to see that boy's room! And who knows, I might meet Kyu while I'm at it ^_^
5. Music is practically a part of my life! I can't go a day without my Kpop and Jpop playlist, which is more Kpop now ever since one of my friends showed me Gee! That song got me hooked onto Korean music, and practically everything that's Korean.
My favourite group of all time is no doubt Super Junior! Hard to believe that the first time I heard Sorry Sorry, I thought it was kinda "bleh." Now before you guys kill me, let me make it clear that I wasn't really paying attention to the song at that time, cuz i was multitasking at the moment. But after listening to it a year later, all I can say was "Damn they're so sexy!" So glad I listened to it again!
6. Aside from Super Junior, my other favorite kpop artists include SNSD(<3 Seohyun), 2PM (<3 Nickhun), F.T Island (<3 Hongki), T-ara, KARA (<3Nicole), BoA, SHINee (<3 Taemin), F(x) (<3 Krystal), Big Bang, DBSK, and 2NE1(<3 CL).
7. My favorite Jpop artists are Nana Mizuki, Buono, Hitomi Shimatani, ALI Project, and recently, Morning Musume. I haven't listened to Jpop in a while, so if anyone knows a good Jpop song or singer, please suggest them to me.
8. Back to Super Junior now. My OTP is Kyumin, but my main Suju bias is Kyu! I just fell in love with his oh-so beuatiful voice, and he's so handsome! ^_^
9. If you're afraid of shopping, I'm the one person you don't wanna meet! Compulsive shopper is my middle name, so you can expect me to stay in a shopping mall for at least 5 hours or more. Trust me, I've done it before.
10. My favorite stores to shop at include Aeropostale, Hot Topic, and Urban Behavior. Well they're my main stores.
11. Dark and strange are words that describe me. Unlike most of my friends, who enjoy reading cheesy teen romance novels (you know, the one where a "normal" teenage girl falls for some football player or jock, but has to compete against some snobby cheerleader or snobby prep to win his heart, and in the end she does), I enjoy dark romance novels. Yes, I love vampire romance novels, I just find them more hardcore than the cheesy ones. My favorite series are House of Night, Vampire Kisses, Blue Bloods, and Vampire Academy. Before Twilight fans flock to me, let me make it clear that I'm only a fan of the BOOKS, not the movies or the actors. I only watch the movies to see how they actually turned out. I read a lot of mangas too, and yeah I'm a yaoi fan!
12. My favorite holiday of the year is Halloween, cuz it's the one day of the year where you can wear whatever you want, and no one can make fun of you for it! This year I went Gothic Lolita for Halloween, which turned out quite well. I wish I could dress like that everyday, but my parents won't let me out of my house if I do >.>
13. I'm also a compulsive eater, so don't leave me alone with your food! >: D When you live in a multicultural place like Canada, there's a lot of places to find food. Being Viet, I always eat Viet food at home, but I've tried other things as well, from Japanese food to Korean food (failed epicly at eating a bowl of spicy ramen. I actually cried.) to Greek and Thai and Italian and Indian and even Jamaican (who doesn't love Ox tail?). When I've bored I eat chocolate, cookies, cake, ice cream (unlike Minnie, I prefer chocolate over strawberry) or anything with sugar. Amazingly, I don't gain any weight from my huge appetite, which in my opinion, is a bad thing, since whenever I'm stressed out, I actually lose weight.
