Intarweb says that pressure treated lumber should be allowed to weather for 6 months to a year, and then stained. Since we moved into The Suite last August, this month is the outside of that range.
According to the label, the two coats of Behr Premium Natural stain that I just applied to the back deck should be good for at least 4 years.
In other house maintenance news, this month is also the expiry date for the Kensington Masterbuilders warranty period so Hannah sent in a list of 11 service requests. Minor things, but what are warranties for? Hannah faxed the list in August 5 and Natalie (Nicole? Shoot...) from Kensington came by while I was staining to do the walk through.
