Anakin wasn't a crazy person. It wasn't like he was stalking the Hawk or anything. He just noticed when it came back because he was observant, okay?

Thus the knocking on Atton's door. "You have all of your limbs?"

It was how Skywalkers expressed love, okay.

The door opened a few moments later.

Atton said nothing. He just held up his arms. See? All limbs present.

"Good," Anakin said, nodding. "Get a shower yet?"

[suitablyheroic]

"And breakfast," Atton affirmed, rolling his eyes. "Don't mother me, Skywalker. Come in."

He nodded at the apartment, then stepped back.

[sith_happened]

"I'm hardly the mothering type," Anakin grumbled as he stepped in. "Just, you know, slightly concerned. Maybe."

[suitablyheroic]

"My heart just grew a parsec," Atton said, sounding like anything but. "I'm fine. You missed all the exciting stuff by a few weeks."

"Fill me in?" Anakin requested, still poking a bit into the Force to be sure if Atton really was okay.

Oh, Anakin. That might have worked on someone who wasn't Atton Rand, but all you were getting was the usual: annoyance at Anakin's concern and hunger for a sandwich.

And pazaak.

"Decided to go undercover to take down a crime syndicate," he said. "You know. The usual."

So much pazaak.

Anakin wrinkled his nose up. "I hate undercover assignments. Are you finished now?"

[suitablyheroic]

"Yep," Atton said. "Turned out the people who've been trying to kill me are behind it, so that was a nice bonus."

Had he mentioned that part?

Anakin groaned. "Of course they frelling were. I hate those people. Are they still alive?"

No skin off his nose if they weren't...

[suitablyheroic]

"I killed the ringleader, so most of them, not so much," Atton said, shrugging. "Though maybe keep your voice down about that in the apartment. Sparkle's not taking it quite as well."

"Oh?" Anakin tried to look sympathetic. "Did he help?"

"He showed up," Atton said. Beat. "He wasn't supposed to show up."

Anakin looked towards the sofa. "Sounds like a story. Mind if I sit?"

"Sure," Atton said, shrugging. "You want a drink while you're at it?"
