The problem with actors (and actresses, of course) is that they've been taught to project. A group of actors being loud is going to be loud and you're going to hear them because they've usually internalized the breathing and the tilt of the head and speaking to the world instead of against it.
That was what made the scream this morning so potent.
"What the--"
And the cursing that followed was also rather audible.
