Things just aren't the same around here, are they? Especially since the rest of the 12th aren't here anymore. When I think about it, out of the lot of them, I really miss Ace the most. He sure was one fine mercenary, one fine man and one fine human being, if I've ever known one. I don't think he warranted all of Joker's scoldings or mine, really. I regret being so mean to him now, in retrospect. I should have been kinder to him. Treated him with more respect, you know? Because he put up with a lot and sure as hell sacrificed a lot for the team. To be honest, he should have been team captain. No offense to Geddoe, but Ace always knew what he was doing.

Ah, he definitely deserved better. And most certainly my love. Oh, Ace darling, wherever can you be now?
