Yes, I started after I finished setting up. The sunrise was lovely.

*glances around at the few who have shown up so far and nods*

I bet. I managed to catch a brief glimpse from my window earlier.

It doesn't matter, then, who we choose to spar with?

It would be my pleasure. I have nothing to distract me at the moment, after all.

Excellent. Let's move over here, so the others have room to do what they will.

*her swords are still lowered, but she stands ready in wait for Alenia*

*nods and follows her off to the side as she draws her blade; seeing as Chrodechild was waiting for her to make the first move, she lifts her blade and lunges forward, swinging her sword towards the other woman's collar bone*

*Whoops! I originally said she only had one sword out, so she does. She steps aside to evade the strike, and swings her blade toward Alenia's middle to counter*

*having missed, Alenia quickly turns her body in the direction that Chrodechild moved in order to prevent her from taking advantage of what would be an opening*

As quick as before. *she smirked as she brought up her own sword to catch that of the other swordswoman, pushing it back*

*sword is driven back, and she only just barely regains her stance--she doesn't even try to retaliate, Alenia has her on the defensive for the moment*

*and even so, Alenia knows better than to underestimate her and frowns as she grips her sword, swinging it towards Chrodechild's side where she had just pushed her blade back*

*manages to twist her wrists, bringing them in a tight circle to parry Alenia's sword, followed by an immediate riposte, thrusting past Alenia's straightened arm*

*her sword pushed away, Alenia grunts a little and leans back as Chrodechild thrust her blade towards her; she holds very still in that position and brings her sword around, aiming for Chrodechild's shoulder*

*Chrodechild steps into the strike; Alenia's sword clashes against Chrodechild's shoulder guard, perhaps more on target than Chrodechild anticipated, but she is carrying through with her own attack, a rapid thrust signature to the Falcon style (no magic "Falcon attack", just the basic technique) toward Alenia's side*
