My, I'm so sorry for being gone for so long! There were just so many things to be done... But I missed giving presents ;_; *sniff*. If you really want to know what I've been up to, I guess I'll let you know.
I'm sure they see women in a similarly strange light, but still. I first took an extended stay from Budehuc to have an ice breaker between Mose and Pahn. I figured the best way would be to invite Pahn to our house. I received a letter at the time that Emily wanted to visit as well so I saw it as an opportunity to gather everyone around and just have fun. He was very reluctant at first, but Pahn accepted the invitation.
That first day with all of us together was phenomenal. My daughter talked with Pahn nonstop. She would ask about how he trained, how he fought and how I was when I was younger. He was actually pretty accurate with everything he said. I wondered for a while if the conversation was something he was enduring or actually enjoyed. I knew which when he started to talk to her about Mamie. For him to even consider talking about her, he had to feel comfortable with Emily, but I never seen Pahn turn red so fast as he realized this only intrigued her more as she knew the chef beforehand.
When I focused my attention on Pahn's reactions that day, I should have really focused on Mose's. He felt Pahn was filling a void for Emily that he couldn't possibly provide and grew a hidden anger about it. I eventually found out the next morning, but during that night the two argued. Pahn took the easy way out by leaving. I was really upset and I would let him hear the end of it.
When Emily decided it was time for her to leave, I packed to go with her for a week, to give Mose some time to himself. My biggest wonder for a long time was why she left Budehuc, but I was looking at it the wrong way. She is a martial artist and she is still quite young. There is much for her to seek and learn. Not to just mimic a teacher's style, but to form her own. Before I left, we decided to have a sparring match. I never gave her a true fight before although she thinks the bear hug at the end was cheating. It was nice to know for myself how far she has gone.
After that, I guess I pulled a Pahn. Emily is doing the same, but he was the first one I knew to have done so. I wouldn't quite call it a quest for perfection. I'm sure Pahn figured it out by now as well. There is no perfect style as there is no perfect body or a perfect... This journey takes you away from everything you know so you can ask yourself one question: who are you? Until you can answer that question honestly, you won't go on the right path. Also with time comes the wind of change and you'll question yourself again. The travels I went through, despite the training it possibly provided, only served as an escape to where I could answer the question.
However it is very easy to get distracted when you are away from everything. I actually ran into Pahn at an Island Nation and we realized how much time we spent away and should probably go back. Pahn went back to Budehuc and I took a quick detour back home for a much needed talk.
When I came back, I found Pahn did some cleanup and actually managed to make the new sign was "The Fighter's Salute" the name that was decided? I don't even remember anymore, but I'm assuming he spent most of his time with Mamie. No complaints he deserves it.
On an interesting note I found Joker's name as one of the participants for Juan's annual tournament. Maybe we should wait until after the tournament? I don't want to take focus away from Juan's event and Pahn better feel the same >_>. Speaking of which, Juan, if you need any help with the tournament, let us know and one of us will assist you as needed.
So many more people, both new and old are here than the last time we were here. For all those who don't know me I am Ronnie Bell. For those that do remember me, we're back! ^_~
