Happy New Year!  Yeah I'm a day late, but lets just say I've made a resolution not to sweat the small stuff.

It didn't really feel like News Years yesterday for some reason and today just feels... bizarre.  It isn't a snow-day/holiday/woot-let's-have-a-fresh-start day, but it isn't a Monday/back-to-routine day either.  New Years on a Thursday just

Less than a week into hiatus and I am loving it so far. So many interesting things to do! Beading, sewing, some minor carpentry, writing, spinning, weaving and - my newest passion - building a castle! I bought molds from this site (the link takes you to the gallery page, but you can access the rest of the site from there) and I'm picking up some Plaster of Paris at Home Depot this week. Then let the casting, building, painting begin! I gather he caters mostly to gamers, which as you know I am not, but I've wanted to build castles block by block for at least 30 years, so you can imagine my glee when I found this site. That huge castle at the top of the page was built by someone I met through my flist and she's the one who pointed me toward the site.

They've changed the rules at work *again* but this time for the better. I will be eligible to return in just six months! Of course, that's no guarantee that there will be an opening, but still it's cause for optimism.

Meant to say earlier that I applaud your decision to sell. It was a tough call and I think you are doing the right thing. Far better to retrench on your own terms than to wait until some disaster pushes you over the edge and you become a statistic of the recession.
