Honor
What is it? How important is it? How important is it for others to posses? Can they learn it if they don't have it?
My last post about Gladiator somewhat ties in with this. It's what I meant by being reminded of something important to me.
See...the one thing that will actually piss me off, and get me to stay pissed off is messing with my friends. This is especially true with ones I think are vulnerable. Something happened, nothing severe...but Saturday night one of my friends was made upset by another friend. The upset friend is probably over it by now, but after it happened and the small conversation we had on it, I'm now questioning the asshole friend.
The asshole friend was just too quick to judge. They made stupid comments that were hurtful, and they know the other person is sensitive...they just don't think. I'm not saying they're a horrible person...it just...got me thinking.
I'm unsure where I'm going with this really. I think mostly that if this is something that really is important to me, honor that is. If it's something I look for and judge others on...then I need to evaluate myself as well. Which also means figuring out how I define honor.
I think Honor may have just replaced Hospitality as my "favorite" virtue.
