Is it just me?
Anyone else convinced that "1-18-08" is simply another viral gimmick to generate interest in the "Lost" universe? I mean, not that there's anything wrong with it. "Lost" got good again at the end of the third season - almost as good at it was during the beginning of the first.
I know I know. Maybe its Voltron, Godzilla or Capt'n Kangaroo, but I know a swirling black cloud of smoke when I see one (you know, right before the head of Lady Liberty makes a guest appearance in the middle of the street), and I know that "Lost" is due to start up again sometime around "1-18-08".
I also know that "Lost" takes place...or probably takes place...on the mainland now. I mean, Jack did say they are supposed to go back? Maybe something came looking for them.
And from what I can gather, no one in "the know" has actually said that "1-18-08" is a movie...per se. For all we know, it could be a film bridging seasons three and four. The "movie" is being made in complete secrecy, by a television director, by a production company that specializes in TV shows (aside from Star Trek XXII or MMXCXCI or whatthefuckever), populated by a cast of unknowns for the very TV-like price of 30 million dollars.
Go figure.
As for the whole Ethan Haas thing....phhhft. Someone get back to me when we know for sure they're related. This viral marketing is giving me a headache. Why can't I stop clicking!
Anyone else craving a Slusho?
