The Namesake
So today i finally finished The Namesake. It took me so long bc at first i wasnt that into it and theeen theres the thing, how i dont do annnythiiing on weekends. i just refuse to work or read or let my mind have any sort of smart activity. its vacation time for the brain on weekends. so anyway, it was really good and i say that because "good books make you keep thinking about them weeks after you've finished them" (-Sherri Dupree) and I totally agree. Even before i finished it, it was constantly on my mind, just the story of Gogol and the way Jhumpa writes. I found myself thinking the way she wrote, as if my life were her next novel. i wonder if she thinks like that. the end was a little disappointing, just because its one of those ending that doesnt really end. but then again, who says anything has to end? sometimes there are just no conclusions.
