about that last entry....my friend Hyatt..died.. monday..
[i know its long but plz read. it means a lot to me.]
Hyatt Griffith, 18, was taken by the current while swimming with friends  
Monday in the Kern River.

River Sandy Flat

KERN CANYON -- A group of campers from Southern California went into the Kern River Monday to cool off in the 100-degree temperatures.

After crossing the river, Hyatt Adam Griffith, 18, from Torrance, was swept downstream in the powerful current as he tried to swim back.

Sheriff search and rescue crews were called to the scene and rescued three other swimmers who were stranded on the north side of the river.

The four people had been staying at the Sandy Flat campground.

Investigators said the victim was not wearing a life jacket and was seen by witnesses bobbing up and down in the water calling for help.

Griffith's body has not been recovered yet.

There have been eight other drowning victims this year who have not yet been located in Kern County waterways.
