Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

Don't say I didn't warn you. I did mention in my previous entry that I'd discuss the latest HP book. So, here we are...

I finished reading the book last week. Took me 4 nights to do the deed. Am still recovering of the lack of sleep. And sleep did not come easily when I reached the last pages... the ending was too shocking, at first.

Of all people, Dumbledore died. I thought Snape would be the victim this time round, but I was wrong. And somehow Dumbledore died too easily. I mean, for a wizard as powerful as he, how can he die so easily? And even in his weakened state, I don't believe he could be reduced to what was described of him. And of all people, why Snape? My first thought was... this isn't right. There must be some explanation to why Snape killed Dumbledore. And after watching so many movies with twisted plots, I suspect this is another plot to deceive Voldermort into thinking that Snape is really a Death Eater and that he killed Dumbledore. I'm glad there are people who think the same way too: http://dumbledoreisnotdead.com/introduction.html

The parts where we get a glimpse of Voldermort's past really explained lots. How can a person be so evil? Can a person be born power-crazed and cruel? And his quest for immortality? Hmm... I can't wait for book 7!

And who is R.A.B? The mystery continues...
