so brussels is getting better! lots of thngs are still difficult but it is getting easier everyday. i have a place to live and a phone and i am getting on a better sleep schedual. the family who is renting me a room is so adorable and very nice! the little girls love me and give me kisses on the cheek and say bonjour. they try to talk to me in french and i just look at them like i have no idea what they are saying so they keep saying it hoping that i can figure it out.
yesterday they gave me belgium beer and it was so stong that i was tipsy after half a glass!
the other night i went out walking in the center where all of the night life is and i stopped to get a waffle and was hit on by the cute waffle cart guys. one wants to learn english and said he would teach me french so i gave him my number. who knows if he will make a date for a "lesson".
i am feeling more open to these things since i am in europe. if i was in the us i would have probably just laughed and walked away with my waffle!
speaking of, i have had a waffle almost everday now. i am rationing myself to 2 a week because if not i will have to be rolled onto the plane home!
