There are two things on Joonmyun's desk: a cup of black coffee, no sugar, no milk, and a newspaper with bad news. Also, he has two options: read the paper before the coffee, or sip his drink a bit before reading it and not have such a bad day. So he chooses the second one, a good way to start the week.

The coffee is bitter on his tongue, but not as much as what he sees on the paper.

Jongin gets home late, it's already dark and children from their neighborhood are already asleep. So he meets silence as well in the apartment, no tv, no computer, nor a single light is on.
Joonmyun is on their unmade bed, what lasted from their love past night. He watches him from the doorframe of the bedroom, lingers his eyes on the way his lover let's darkness swallow him. But then, not much later, he hears him inhale softly.

"I wish... I could...," He starts softly, a whisper caressing Jongin's ears. "I wish I could bring myself not to care. But you know my job is important to me and it saddens me very much to see all this. I'm so sorry. I'm so, so sorry."
But alas, it's okay. It really is okay, he's not mad and Jongin says that while he walks to their bed and sits on the mattress promptly cradling Joonmyun in his arms, holding him as he's the most precious thing on the whole universe.
"It's alright," He says lowly. "I understand and it's alright. Don't worry about it. It's okay."

The next day, the expected happens. People look at him, people look and whisper everywhere, and that should not be happening. Joonmyun didn't really keep track of the news, he really doesn't know what they said about him, but Baekhyun does that job of reminding him. Baekhyun is understandable too, as much as Jongin was. He is also in a relationship, though in the eyes of the media he's just a secretary.

"It's okay, you know." Baekhyun also tells him. He's not shocked from the news, he is shocked people are so ignorant.

Joonmyun, from all the candidates, is the only one that holds rights for every single part of the society, and most importantly, the LGBT community. So people should support him, they should see he's better than all those other liars. They should see he says it's okay for homosexuals to have a family under the law, for transsexuals to be who they wish to be, for indecisive men and women to be in between, he doesn't pressure them because they don't need it. He doesn't hold those rights from them because they're theirs.

Jongin and Joonmyun met at a fundraising party. Jongin is actually not supposed to be there, but his company sends him anyway because popularity nees to be risen. So he sits there, drinks his wine as men and women drink him in. He is good looking, charming, everything and anything someone wants. But he doesn't butterfly around and sits quietly, looking around and there he is. He spots him among other politicians, fake smiles on their faces, though his was the prettiest.

After some minutes following him with his gaze, the other notices it, turning around and returning the look from the other side of the room.

They don't approach each other.

Joonmyun is a nice man, he hears. Other men from his table point at him and start talking, they say he won't go far in politics. He is too good, too honest. So Jongin is the one that gets up first.

"I believe we haven't met...?" Jongin says with a grin decorating his lips. He needs to be good, so he tries his best.
Joonmyun turns around in a second, an amused expression as he meets once again the eyes of an idol, such a popular young dancer in the Korean music scene.

"We haven't," He answers, offering his hand. "It's nice to meet you in person, Mr. Kim."

As Jongin holds the hand, he says it's okay for him to call him by the first name. It's okay because I want to get close to you and you're really handsome and let's talk.

Joonmyun thinks the same thing. He swims in delight in the man's nice lips and eyes and face and body and person and oh.

That night they silently slip into one of the bathroom stalls and kiss. They kiss so much and eventually pet each other a tad bit too heavily, but that is the night they begin a cycle. That is the night Joonmyun starts to not notice how Jongin sacrifices his image and job as much as he does.

In the mornings, they text a lot. They text and discover things about themselves, chatting hyung you owe me food.

jongin, we'll eat whatever you want whenever you wish.

i have practice and my waist hurts.

did you go to a doctor? I hope it's not serious. take care.

it's okay. hyung they want to meet you.

I'll make a fool of myself.

they'll make fools of themselves. specially sehunnie. he says you look good on tv.

I miss you.

i miss your kisses hyung.

didn't you read it properly? I said I miss all of you.

i miss your cock.

yeah? what else?

i miss your cum on my face. it was so thick and hot.

I wish I could hear you say that, Jongin.

come see me tonight and i'll whisper you anything you want. or maybe i'll scream it so everybody hears how good you make me feel.

such a

"Mr. Kim?"

He quickly hides his phone in his suit's pocket, opening his mouth at the same time trying to say something, but his brain is too occupied with something else. But that is not Baekhyun talking to him and it's not okay to say he was thinking about things that weren't money or someone that was more precious than that.

"I'm sorry, yes?" Joonmyun wheezes out, looking at his second, third secretary...? He didn't know, he honestly only cared about Baekhyun.

"Sir, the supervisors from MBC are here. Should I send them in?"

"Yes, of course. Please do that." So yes, as the young man goes out if his office he remembers he's got a deal with some of the TV channels about educational programs and music education investment and he doesn't know where his papers are, he needs them for this meeting.

He looks around, he searches on his desk, in the drawers, in his briefcase and then they simply fall on his desk. He looks up and there is Baekhyun.

"There you go," His friend says gently. "And listen, I saw you with that boy from EXO, or something, last week. Be careful, okay? I heard Dispatch has got an extra eye on them."

After this, Baekhyun simply leaves with a soft smile on his face and it suddenly hits Joonmyun what he was doing earlier.

His face reddens and his heart clenches.

Jongin.

Jongin I'm so sorry.

Jongin.

He doesn't answer. Joonmyun goes home with questions and more questions in his mind, also stubborn enough to think he was the one that started that bloody dirty talking. It was too soon, he thinks. It wasn't right.
Sitting alone in his sofa, body aching from the long day, he reaches for his phone and quickly send a couple more of miserable texts to Jongin.

He lays down with no answers.

The group is easy to access. On most of the websites, they're there, winning a prize or launching a CM video, or posting a photo or anything that comes to mind. And by the day, Joonmyun becomes grumpier. Everybody knows he's not like that, that those frowns do not belong on his skin, that the harsh words do not live in his mouth. But inevitably, that makes him stronger to the eyes of the people. He becomes the talk of the town, more deals start to come in, more money promises to fill his pockets, though sadness waits by the corner.

Weeks pass by like this and no one knows what's wrong, but also no one complains because they're so, so sure they'll win.

The first time Joonmyun comes to his office and a freshly printed newspaper is on his desk is on the same day he sees him again. Almost two months later, an end of a comeback for the group and there is Jongin, sitting with a shy smile on his lips.

Joonmyun doesn't move further than a step inside the room, quietly eyeing the other man as Jongin says "Congratulations, hyung."

Seconds later, Baekhyun comes halfway past the door, pauses, looks between them, and proceeds to close the door to leave. He knows best.

Then it hits Joonmyun that he feels so lonely and unconsiously he says a little "Hi".

Suddenly, Jongin gets up and strides to him, pressing him against the door and "Hi," he also whispers.

Joonmyun can feel all that body warmth through his jacket and shirt. He also notices he's not wearing makeup and that he's so handsome, so beautiful. He's the first one to say he's sorry, but the younger says it too right after, enveloping the other's face with his hands. He kisses him once, a peck on the lips.

"They were onto us, hyung and I had to do it," He kisses twice, "I had to delete your messages and your number, I'm sorry." He kisses thrice and Joonmyun closes his eyes.

The paper said the politicians on the poll had been narrowed down and there was Mr. Kim, in the first place.

They begin to see each other more after that. They can never leave the apartment though, knowing eyes will be after them. So they stay inside, usually during long nights, pressed up against each other and chatting the hours through.

Getting to know each other more, they soon start talking about their future and liking each other more and more. But the thing is, when their bond starts getting tighter, the second time Joonmyun sees a fresh newspaper on his desk happens. And there is also the "I'm sorry" coming from Baekhyun and a few of his most intimate colleagues, but those words do not lead to a better part of his life.

People are more busy judging him and making him miserable than caring about the future of their nation. They are busy bad mouthing him though the internet, making jokes with the pictures of him and Jongin in the car, the only moments they were outside the apartment, coming and going from there. They're having fun and making use of their lifes to throw rocks at his.

Soon comes another bomb. He did fall on the poll, the other politicians did get what they wanted by paying for those pictures. But what really ruined everything was the official phone call, letter and e-mail he got from Jongin's company requesting him to stop talking to the idol, so they stop seeing each other and Korea goes back to normal. So the world goes back to being hipocrite and the purpose of his life no longer exists.

Joonmyun did not win. Jongin does keep winning on music shows and else, but, for his fans, he doesn't win the prize of touching his love's hand again. They don't get to talk again and this is taboo on variety shows for the younger. But the truth is that no one actually knows if they follow the orders or else.

Joonmyun falls asleep to kisses every night.
