Some times, the fortune cookies is always right
Who else could this have happened to but me, right?
I’m ordering some dinner at this quant Teriyaki joint on the Ave on a Friday afternoon just before I go see the ‘Corpse Bride’ movie when all of the sudden…something happened in that shop that has totally changed the way I’m thinking right now for the future. I’m sitting with my food in front of me and this quiet, innocent looking black lady walks in and places and order to go and sits at the table across from me. She then looks over to me and ask me out of the blue, “Do you know what you are spiritually?” Now I’m sitting there wondering exactly what she is talking about, and I take it as a religious question so I go in to how I went to catholic schools for most of my life and yada yada yada. She then cuts me off right in the middle when I’m talking, (like most women do -_-) , and she says…
“I didn’t ask what religious beliefs you have, because that a offensive topic for some people. I asked you if you know what kind of spirit you have.”
At this point I didn’t know how to answer her question so I just said “I think have a fun, loving spirit.” And then she says this (most of you might not believe this next thing but I swear, hand to god, this is all true).
“Your spirit has a calling to teach, you are a teacher. You have this well of knowledge locked up inside of you and you don’t let anyone else have it and you keep it locked in yourself. In your near future you will be using this knowledge that you’ve accumulated all these years and you will be helping people, teaching things that you’ve learned. Your first passion in life was music at first, but I also sense a artist person, very visual and creative and you will utilize this artistic and creative side of you and will be on stage, in front of a good sized audience, and will be talking to them, sharing what you know in your mind and will be a multi-millionaire in the future because of this. Since you brought this up, some religions believe in that every being is put on this earth with a gift to share with the world that is their own, mine (her) would be what people call either a ‘seer’ or a prophet, I tell people what I see in them spiritually and help them to realized that and give them a perspective on it. Now, some day, when you lease expect it, you will hear something that will call you a touch you profoundly to begin your journey as a teacher and you will be successful at it. I want to tell you this not just because it’s my spiritual nature, but you should know this and start preparing for the future.”
After she was done saying that her food was ready and she took her order to go and left. I must admit that this all sounded very ‘shady’ to me, but when I opened my fortune cookie, guess what was inside?
-‘You will be getting some helpful advice from a stranger’-
WOOH! At this point all this was hard to take in, but I am going to remember what she said and I will begin to start watching, listening, waiting for something to come up that will launch me into my future self, oh it’s true.
