Well, below is a good long rant (well, not really much of a rant, but geeky talk) on what I've been watching over the past few days.
......Now, do I get to blame these shows for my poor performance on my MTs? ...probably not *is shot*
So yeah, just finished watching the first episode of the new sentai series after Boukenger - Juken Sentai Gekiranger.
Well, it's only the first ep., so it's not like something really struck me hard - I thought the martial arts moves were pretty well done, looking forward to more of that,
And here's some extra incentive for watching (note: comment directed toward specific individuals) - GekiRed is Oishi and the main bad guy Rio is Inui in PoT musicals and the PoT live-action movie.
......um, yeah, my jaw dropped when I heard that from a friend of mine. She went to the preview screening event (and yes, the actors were there too) and saw fangirls screaming when the two came on stage.
......yes, I know I know I know we've been seeing all these sentai actors/actresses appearing in random places, but really, after seeing:
- Sainei Ryuuji aka DekaRed as Atobe (well, OK, for this one the sentai came first, but anyway...)
- Kato Kazuki aka Atobe (in TeniMyu) as Kamen Rider Drake (...which I didn't really realize till
amefuri mentioned it to me)
- Saito Yasuka aka BoukenBlack as Shinji (in the PoT live-action movie)
......yeah, I knew something worse just had to come after all THIS. Well, no it's not a bad thing, just... just imagine PoT fangirls going crazy over TOKUSATSU (of all the things they can possibly get obcessed with!)

The new Kamen Rider series (yes, the one after Kabuto), Kamen Rider Den-O... there aren't that many notable casts for the time being, except...... the main character's alter-ego is voiced by Seki Toshihiko.
......yes, you heard me right. No, you didn't hear Tomokazu from me, I said Toshihiko.
You see, there's been many instances where famous VAs have voiced characters for tokusatsu, but usually it would be a once-in-a-series thing. If not, it's usually one of the main bad characters. But Seki Toshihiko as one of the lead roles in a TOKUSATSU!? OMG!!!!

Now, don't give me dropped jaws, just because I watch this stuff - dammit you guys all know by now what kinda person I am!
So, the first PreCure series (yes, the one w/the Black and White) was fine; moreso, it was great! It's GOOD CRACK, where you get to hear Seki Tomokazu (yes, you heard me right, yes I did say Tomokazu this time) in a squeaky high-pitch voice - you don't get that often.
The sequal (Max Heart) was fine too - heck, there wasn't too much of a change from the first.
The sequal to that (Splash Star) was... um... yeah, "acceptable" (though I barely watched that one).
The sequal to that is the current one that started just about a month ago: Yes! PreCure 5.
So here's me thinking: OK, I thought it was the 4th series (overall), why 5?
The answer: they have five girls.
FIVE GIRLS.

I mean, it does, after all, come from the same manga magazine, and the idea is pretty much along the same lines as Sailormoon, but do we really need that revived? NO!!!
