Title
Comment Notifications.

Short, concise description of the idea
It would be useful if there was also option allowing to track only comments made *directly* to an entry, as opposed to the one that notifies about *all* of the comments to an entry we have now.

Full description of the idea
What it says in the summary, basically. There should be a distinction between the "Reply to an entry" and "Reply to a comment" notifications, so that users could choose which one exactly they want to get.
An ordered list of benefits
  • Basically, if someone decides to track a busy entry, they get up in the morning and see about 400 new e-mails notifying them of ALL of the comments made to it. If they were notified only of the comments directly, it would be far less e-mails that take up space and consume time.
  • Moreover, the person could look through the "thread starters" (direct comments to the entry being such) in their e-mail inbox, and decide for themselves, which ones make a point they want to follow thereafter, and which ones are irrelevant to the person's interests and are not to be followed.
An ordered list of problems/issues involved
  • The only issue I can think of is that it's probably not so easy to code that way. Otherwise we'd already have such an option, right?
