I would like to see some research undertaken on who uses LJ, how it is used, types of social network
Full description of the idea
This could be done by sampling a few thousand random, but active journals. Questionnaires could be issued to determine how/why people post, select friends, etc. Information could be automatically obtained on friends numbers, community membership, post/comment frequency.

- Would enable development to be targetted better for existing users
- Time consuming to develop
- Privacy issues
- Sample bias(not all would respond)
