Currently, permanent users have 50 more icon spaces than any paid user, no matter how many loyalty userpics they have, has. Permanent users also have the maximum number of loyalty userpics.

Given that userpics soak up a lot of bandwidth, I'm fine with what I have now.

Exactly. I'm still not over the irony of how for years, people were all "But GJ gives you 2000 userpics!" (it was that number, wasn't it?), and when the site started to die its slow and agonising death, userpics were the one feature they kept reducing and reducing.

Considering this is already an upgrade, why complain?

As someone who loves icons, I get it that we can 'never have enough.' But I think we need to try not to be too greedy... (smile)

And, yes, icons (userpics) are a strain on bandwidth...

There's only 28 spaces left in my 197 cache -- It's only a short matter of time before I'm up against the wall again. I'll want more, but not at the expense of the rest of the site.
