Short, concise description of the idea
On the Edit Custom Friends Groups page (http://www.livejournal.com/friends/editgroups.bml), I would like to have the friended journals that are listed in the "Not in group" and "In group" boxes sorted by their journal types. That is, I would like to have the personal journals separated from the communities and RSS feeds.

Full description of the idea
Currently, on the Edit Custom Friends Groups page (http://www.livejournal.com/friends/editgroups.bml), the "Not in group" and "In group" boxes unconditionally display all entities on one's Friends list. I would like to have the listings separated by journal type were there some way possible to implement this.

The reason for this is that having the communities and feeds lumped in with the personal journals makes it easier to accidentally overlook someone one might have wanted to add or remove from a group. Furthermore, since we can't log in as communities anyway, I see no reason to include non-personal journals in filters that are designed only for posting, not reading. Thus, having separate lists (or a way to sort the usernames by journal time) would help while creating these custom groups.

_How_ implementation would work specifically... I'm not sure. Maybe by having separate "sub-boxes" for each list, or separate sections using delimiters much like the ScrapBook custom groups dropdown boxes use.
An ordered list of benefits

• More convenience in creating custom friends groups.
• Depending on implementation, more organization and less needless clutter on the "Not in group" and "In group" lists.
• Potentially fewer accidental incidences of overlooking people because their usernames were buried under a bunch of usernames of non-personal journals.

An ordered list of problems/issues involved

• The time and trouble to code and implement this.
• The Edit Custom Friends Groups page would probably require more scripting, resulting in more content for the page to load and thus longer load times. Some older browsers may even be unable to handle it.
• As far as social drawbacks... uhhhh... I'm sure someone may dislike this for a reason I haven't yet thought of? *Shrug*
