Clickable links in Inbox

Title
Clickable links in Inbox

Short, concise description of the idea
Allow links posted in LiveJournal Inbox messages to be clickable.

Full description of the idea
Right now, if someone sends or includes a link in a message using the Inbox, the recipient must copy and paste the link into the browser as it is not possible to click on the link. I'd like to see users be able to click on links directly from their Inbox.

I would suggest that the behaviour of links, should they be made clickable, be made to open the link in a new tab (or window) so that the original message can remain open while viewing the link to make it easier to reply.
An ordered list of benefits
  • Make it easier to share webpages with friends using the Inbox.
  • Increase the appeal of the Inbox as a way to communicate with other LiveJournal users.
  • Save the small amount of effort involved in copying, possibly opening a new page, and pasting the link.
An ordered list of problems/issues involved
  • It might increase the potential for Inbox spam featuring clickable links.
