It would be helpful to be able to search for users by their LJ User ID Number.
Full description of the idea
The reason this would be helpful to me (and presumably others) is because of outside systems such as YouTube. Currently, Youtube stats show what users have embedded a video by account id number, not by name. I can spot whenever my account shows up in stats because I know my id number is 2055302, but I would like to be able to see what lj users are connected to some of the other lj stats on my youtube videos. I have tried plugging in the id into the search bar and selecting "site & user" but no matches come up - even when I use my own id number!
An ordered list of benefits
- LJ Members with videos on YouTube will be able to see who is linking/embedding their videos on their journals.
- There are other systems that also list LJ users by id number not by username, so this feature would help for LJ members who use those systems as well.
- Presumably a new index would need to be added to LJ's search db.
