Back in the old days there was a way to search for people who have who have the most interest in common with you. In my opinion it was the best way to find friend on LJ and is sorely missed.
Full description of the idea
It has been so long since this search was in operation that I can not remember how exactly it worked. Nor am I familiar with the technical aspects. The search returned users who had the most interests in common with you in chronological order.
An ordered list of benefits
- The strongest benefit is the ease in which you find LJ friends.
- I am sure there was a very good reason why the staff took down this search. It was likely costly and strained the system. Maybe it would be prudent to only offer it to paid accounts.
