To disable any automatically playing sounds on your friends page that someone may have embedded in their entry, or to have the option to do such.
Full description of the idea
On occasion, people on my friends list will post flash videos or other media embedded into their post, and this non-stoppable sound will disrupt my viewing. I'd like to have an option to disable this.
For example: http://catsluvdmb.livejournal.com/726610.html While this post is on my friends list, I can't view the page without turning off or down my sound. I'd like to be able to, and I'm sure that other people would as well.
An ordered list of benefits
- To be able to elect to disable any automatic-playing sounds on my friends page.
- To be able to browse lj in peace with my own music.

- I can't think of any.
An organized list, or a few short paragraphs detailing suggestions for implementation
- Some kind of coding giving us the option from the account preferences page to disable any sounds on the friends list. This would not affect their journals, just our own friends list and if we want to hear the sounds we can open the individual entry of course.
