Allowing plus or basic accounts to purchase user pic add ons.
Full description of the idea
I personally am addicted to user pics, but would never use ANY of the additional features of a paid account (I know I've gotten one before). I would gladly pay for additional user pics, but just can't bring myself to buy a paid account in addition. I suggest you allow paid or basic members to purchase monthly/yearly/bi-yearly additional user pics, without having them pay for other features they don't really want.
An ordered list of benefits
- -Increased revenue from those who normally wouldn't purchase paid accounts, just for the user pics.
- -You would be allowing a more affordable option for those of us who can't really afford to purchase a paid account to facilitate the purchase of additional user icons. (ex. instead of spending $30 for a paid account for a year AND user pics, you'd only be spending $10, which if you're on a budget makes a HUGE difference)
- -Higher customer satisfaction rate. Users wouldn't have to worry about pic add ons expiring after their account does.
An ordered list of problems/issues involved
- -I'm guessing it would up the bandwidth usage for the site or some other technical term?
An organized list, or a few short paragraphs detailing suggestions for implementation
- - To compensate for high bandwidth usage maybe you could up the price for pic add-ons on Plus or basic accounts (ex. $3.00 for 2 months, or $2.00 for 50 additional user pics)
- -Maybe restrict it so that only Plus members are able to utilize this feature?
