Title
Backup feature for Scrapbook and userpics

Short, concise description of the idea
A backup feature for Scrapbook and userpics should be added.

Full description of the idea
For some reason images disappear from Scrapbook and the userpic section every once in a while (see support board). As an additional feature to keep user data save, there should be a "backup all" button - possibly with a variety of options, e. g. for backing up only one gallery at a time etc.

The images could be downloaded as one zipped file, ideally with the galleries becoming folders in said file.

In addition users should be encouraged to keep a backup of their images, in case something happens to those they store online. (Unfortunately originals seem to be often stored on Scrapbook, without copies on the users' computers.)

I've checked the beta version of Scrapbook and unfortunately nothing like this is included yet.
An ordered list of benefits
  • an easy, quick backup function would benefit everyone
  • users wouldn't have to download images one by one, which is especially tedious if they have hundreds of userpics and Scrapbook images.
  • the feature could be included in the current Scrapbook update while the programmers are still working on the code, hence it wouldn't take as much time/effort as implementing it later on.
An ordered list of problems/issues involved
  • none I could see

userpics, scrapbook, § no status, export entries
