Google+ has not yet got an application programming interface for remote posting as of the technical meetup that I went to on Wednesday night; one of the people there did say that he'd hoped they would have an API ready to talk about by that time, but this did not turn out to be the case.

Setting up sharing to Google+ is really going to have to wait until Google+'s developers get the API in place.

Another potential issue I could see is that like Facebook, Google+ does not expect people to be using usernames/nicknames/handles, and expects real or "common" names, and like with Facebook, some people are adamantly against connecting a username where they may have years of public data sharing details that people from their family or workplace don't need to know. Google+'s "common name" expectation seems to be a little more rigorous than Facebook's, at the moment. The more people in one's social graph who link their username with their work name means the more likely it is that someone who knows them who also could identify someone who does not want to be identified on LJ is likely to stumble upon them.
