Short, concise description of the idea
It would be great to be able to choose the fav icon between the person's userhead, and the LiveJournal pencil.

Full description of the ideaI don't know why you change the fav icon, but it would be great to be able to choose freely (not paying to get the pencil back) between the person's userhead

I would love a simple checkbox option somewhere on the customization page to do only what the OP seems to be suggesting here: go between the pencil and the userhead.

Yeah me too ... So at least you will be able to get the default favicon for the whole site.

A disadvantage of that method is that it only works on pages that are styled using your customised style. That won't apply to site pages, and it means that you have to view all journals and entries in your own style. I prefer to see other user's journals in their own style (up to a point!), and entries in site scheme, so the majority of the pages I load either will not be in my preferred style, or will have the wrong favicon.

You are totally right, it only works for the people able to get a theme layer ...

Hello,

I know this trick ... but what do you do when you don't have a perm/Plus/Paid account? You can't use this solution...

That's why I was suggesting getting the possibility to choose freely between the pencil and the Userhead.... And I think, no, I'm even sure, this only works for our own livejournal, not the whole site...

So yes your solution is temporary great :)
