Um... Unless something's changed and I wasn't made aware of it, your login history should only be visible to you and no one else (with the possible exceptions of the Abuse Prevention Team for obvious reasons, and of ops, who would typically have access to such database information for administrative purposes). The only time I would ever be concerned about someone seeing my login history is if I foolishly left my LJ account logged in on a computer accessible to other people or if my account got hacked into... and even then, that'd be the LEAST of my privacy concerns if either happened.

The login history is there to help you determine whether your account was compromised if you suspect it has been. And while Gmail's nag that "there is suspicious activity on your account" can be annoying (especially if you access it a lot from mobile or from multiple computers), it's helpful to have in case your account has been compromised (and besides, LJ doesn't offer this feature, that I know of, to notify in cases of suspected account comp).

I'm going to have to say no to this suggestion and just stress that if you're concerned about people looking at it, to keep your account as secure as you can.

ETA: Two more points I just thought of:

1. If it were possible to clear your login history, and then a hacker broke in and utilized that function to clear their tracks, it would be nigh impossible for the ops and APT to investigate it.

2. If you're concerned because you're planning to hand over your personal journal to someone else... this is but one of the many reasons that account trading isn't recommended. It's safest to delete your account and let the recipient pay $15 to rename to it once it's been purged, and all traces of your history, including login history and email address history, won't be available to the other user.
