Full description of the idea
I appreciate your concern for privacy by making only public LJ entries able to be cross-posted to facebook, but I would hope that sometime in the near future, private entries will have this option as well. I don't want to make my LJ public, but I do want to be able to post it to facebook since a lot of my friends are not or no longer on LJ. I can always change the setting of the facebook entries to be readable by only those I want to read it. If there is a reason this will not be an option, please explain it to the users.
An ordered list of benefits

• Easier to manage private entries
• Better promotion of LJ through Facebook for users who don't want their LJ entries to be public

• I can't think of any problems created by doing this.
