I would like to be able to use my Facebook credentials to sign into my existing LJ account.
Full description of the idea
I would like to use Facebook to log into my existing LiveJournal account. I have a permanent account, but when I try to log in using FB it just creates a new journal account for me. I would like to be able to sign in using my FB credentials but I want it associated with my existing LJ account.
An ordered list of benefits
- I can keep my old LJ account which I treasure, and I would never want to give up by logging in using my Facebook credentials.
While using FB to log in, there should be a way to then associate my FB login credentials with my login information for LJ.
I have been using less LJ lately because of Facebook, and I think that this would be a great way to log in quickly on the go because I'm always logged in to my FB account, and it's only getting more popular.
- I don't see a drawback for me.
Some people may not use that option, but one could still login the traditional way. - I'm really excited about this possibility, so I hope you will make this possible soon.
