I would like communities that are no longer in use to be purged.

Full description of the idea
I have found communities that only have one post or have many posts, but are no longer use and haven't been in use for years. I'd like these communities to be purged so that the usernames can become available again to be used for personal journals or other communities.
An ordered list of benefits

• Makes usernames available for personal journals and other communities.
• When looking for a specific community that you want to belong to, you no longer stumble upon inactive community after inactive community.
• When searching for communities to become a part of, you're left with the most current and active ones.

An ordered list of problems/issues involved

• The data that was in those communities will be lost once it's purged.
• The moderators of the community may be on a hiatus ans posting to the community suspended in the meantime.(However, after so many months of inactivity, I think it could be considered abandoned and then be purged without incident).
