Title
Adding Details to the Offsite Status Page

Short, concise description of the idea
It would be useful to see more information on the offsite status page ( http://status.livejournal.org/ ) during instances where some people may be unable to reach LiveJournal Support at all.

Full description of the idea
This came out of discussions in the recent maintenance post ( http://community.livejournal.com/lj_maintenance/128204.html?thread=12001228#t12001228 ).

Basically all of the helpful links that appear at the bottom of the offsite status page ( http://status.livejournal.org/ ) are completely useless in instances where you can't access the site at all.

It would be useful to see a more detailed status, perhaps a replication of the Known Issues ( http://www.livejournal.com/support/ ) or, at a minimum, a reminder of the direct email address for support.
An ordered list of benefits
  • More informed users in cases where the site is having major issues.
An ordered list of problems/issues involved
  • Replicating the Known Issues may be a low priority if the site is experiencing major system wide problems, although adding the email address to the common footer wouldn't have that issue.

site downtime, site copy, status page, § no status
