Correction

Dear restaurants, cafes, sandwich shops, etc:

I understand that you want to look posh, intellectual, and sophisticated. I understand that by doing so, you need to broaden horizons and offer foods that aren't just American. Here's the thing...if you plan on doing that, get the name right. Misspelling the food's name only makes you look dumb which obviously defeats the purpose of the whole international foods menu.

So for the final time...there's no such thing as paninis. It's not a real word. The singular is panino...the plural is panini. I get why you do it, but it doesn't make it right. Should we start saying hippopatamuses instead of hippopotami? I think not.

So restaurants et all, from now on whenever I see "We sell paninis!" signs, i'm going inside and demanding a prompt change. I want correct vocabulary! I'm then going to demand a free panino for my service. Because, seriously, if i'm helping your grammar, you might as well help my appetite.
