So, the forecast for December 1st in Cambridge is a high of 60 degrees. Now, I like warm weather as much as the next person, but that's just wrong. How am I supposed to feel Christmas-y when I don't even need a jacket on outside?

well, you could come to seattle... the temperature's been below freezing and it's been snowing. in fact my work's been closed for two days on account of the weather! i'd take 60 degrees though...

I'm jealous. I wish we could switch.

Blasphemy. Didn't you get enough winter in Vermont? We gots the ocean here and it keeps us temperate, like the Bahamas with snow and fewer hurricanes.

I'm not saying I want it to be ten below on a regular basis, just that I'd like to have at least some hope for snow. It's my firm belief that if there's no winter, there's no Solstice/Christmas/Hanukkah. And that would make me sad. If it wants to stop being winter on Jan 2nd I'm all for that. But for the holidays, I want cold.

Or, alternatively, I'm just being an ornery transplanted Vermonter.

Yeah, the last two winters I've spent in the area were almost exactly like VT, so I'm sure it's a fluke of some kind. But the radio this morning says there could be snow on monday, so my fingers are crossed.

A little. But I'll hbe happier if we get snow that sticks at some point before Christmas.

Well, if worse comes to worse, I'll stick some confex sugar in the freezer and attack your apartment... :) Or just shave some ice... that could work too.
