Besides weekends, there is one day I love most-Wednesdays!This is a special day of the week because :
- work ends at 220pm instead of 600pm
- I can meet Nari!-my co-worker who also teaches at the university. He is a Japanese who made it in America and has led a very very interesting life.I often seek advice from him,and look up to him as a big brother(or uncle?).We share lots and lots of personal stories and funny ones too!
- last but not least, I get to have lunch at a placed I called "secret garden"!
above : the secret garden with our lunchbag and my backpack.
The secret garden is a beautiful lush garden cum orchard that I and Phil always go to every Wednesday. It's really close to my workplace and since I have only a 30-minute break, the garden is a perfect place for lunch. It has plenty of fresh and pleasant-smelling fruits and flowers around, namely promegranates, apricots, peas, marigold, lavender, daisies and daffodils.
Here are some shots of the flowers. All pictures are taken by my camera:
We had french toast+bergedil+tuna salad with Goldfish for lunch. To counter the cold weather,I made hot cocoa.Boy,did it hit the spot!

There is also a kitty that owns the garden.Whenever we are eating, she comes and joins us.Phil usually pets her and when she feels really good, she buries her claw onto the any surface nearby( eg someone's lap/hand).Since I always sit beside Phil, I was always the victim-the cat already made some tiny holes in my jeans-Ouch!
below: pictures of us and the kitty. Can you see her clawing Phil (cuz she feels good from the petting)??
I pluck some marigold and lavenders.I don't know whether it's allowed or not but heck, the flowers are just askin for it.That's what they get for being so pretty!

I guess that's it about Wednesdays.I just thought it's kinda special and wanted to share with you guys,in case you care.LOL
OK Lets move on to my job (you aren't bored yet ,are you?).
To some of you who din already know, I work as a Lab assistant at Media Resource Center(MRC).It's basically a mini library for international students, mainly from Korea and Japan.I love the job,and Phil calls it a "cupcake" job since it's so easy.Basically, I just lay around and wait for students to come in and assist them. But sometimes it gets really busy and hectic that two hands are just not enough. The hardest part of the job is communicating with the students. At first it was really hard to understand their accent, but now I can read their minds better.Yay!FIY, the pay is 8 dollars an hour so it helps here and there with food, rent and etc.
Here are some shots of the MRC
above: the MRC main area.I usually work behind the main desk signing in/out the students.
above : the MRC Lab assistant's shelf. If you have really good eyesight then you can see my name on the shelf.
above:one of the message boards. If you can't see my name then call your optometrist NOW :).By the way, the redhead lady named Susan is my boss
( she's wonderful! ) and others are my co-workers.All girls tau-we don't need balls here.LOL.Giiirl POWER!
Ok guys, that's about it with details of my job/workplace.
Other minor details worth knowing :
- I RECEIVED A PACKAGE!*excited shriek*
above: mysterious package from an unidentified person.Jeng Jeng Jeng.
After I opened the package, I was overwhelmed by its content.LOL.My mom sent me lotsa stuff from Canada and souvenirs from Niagara Falls.(She visited last two weeks but didn't get to visit me P:( .THANK YOU MAMA!Love love love the Guess bag, fake Coach and the shirts!
Tapi awat banyak sangat PAD??!Yes,sanitary pad-for kilang sos, bendera merah or roti berjem!Apekah??
Apparently her bag was full,so she decided to mail me half of her pads instead of carrying it back home.I have no freaking idea why she has so many (like 20-35 pads) when she was just visiting for 2 weeks.Plus, I'm sure Canada sells pad!!Maybe not Kotex, but a different kinda pad with a name like Maple pad or something like that.I dunno.
Anyways, mama, I thought you know your daughter better than that.huhuhu.Didn't we already have a talk about how Whisper is soo much better than Kotex??So why did you send me Kotex??Huhuhu (actually a couple of whisper pads made it in the package)
above:the gifts from my mom, including an assortment of (-a tiny portion of-) the pads.
Nevertheless, I love what you've got me, mama!Phil loves the shirt too!I didnt realize that the Guess bag has accessories in it until Phil opened it.Banyaknya ma beli kat dik.TQ ma!! Hope I get the better ones than akak!*
*my mom always but things in pairs-one for me and one for my sister.Usually, my sister get the first pick (since she's in Malaysia), so I always get the less pretty one. :( But since my mom picked it out for both of us, I'm sure she ends up with the crummier ones.LOL
Other details:
