-Why hello there-
It has been forever and a half since I've last written in here. Been busy/lj didn't like me. I had to change my password only about 15 times which I find is a little ridiculous but oh well. Apparently it's stuck on friends-only posting now so I downloaded semagic which I used to use back in the day, so I'm not sure how well this works. I'm just going to type here and copy paste since I'm sure lj still eats entries. Since this will be long I'll put the rest behind a cut.
So, let's see, I decided during the spring to tackle on classes semi-hardcore because it's ridiculous that I could have finished school with my master's by now and haven't. I took 3 classes during the spring and managed a 4.0 which I was amazed at because I lucked out and had so much work for 3 classes it was pretty ridiculous. Of course I decided I would take 15 credits ( 5 classes) during the summer because hey why not. I took 3 during Summer A which consisted of a 6 week period and oh my that was way more work then I bargained for, but it's ok cuz now Summer B I'm only taking 2 and it's as if I wasn't taking any at all. Just that I have to sit in 2 classes all day from 8 to 3pm and I'm actually there THE WHOLE time which blows cuz I'm starving but whatever. Because of me deciding to take this many classes apparently I only have 13 credits left and I will finally be getting my associates degree only 4 years late but hey horray for me!
In other non-school related news, Odvar and I took a mini-vacation after our spring classes and before our summer since we only had 1 week inbetween classes and went to Orlando, like we always do. We got 3 day park hopper Disney passes which was beyond awesome/amazing. Oh yea he also proposed to me our first night there!!!!! I'M GETTING MARRIED!!!! Still weird for me to say that, but I haven't gotten used to saying that since well I don't really talk to too many people. So yea we definitely had an awesome week there, but were exhausted after we spent 2 full days at the park. (It really took that long to Animal Kingdom/Magic Kingdom then we did "Hollywood Studios" took us the whole damn day!) Toy Story is the bestest thing ever at Hollywood Studios, totally worth the 50 minute wait!!! >_<.
Back to school stuff, because Odvar is also quite silly in realising things he too will be done this fall so we have decided to apply to UCF at the end of the summer term and go to school there in the Spring, meaning we'll hopefully definitely be moving there in December. I'm really looking forward to that as we planned on moving away about 2 years ago but that never happend and well yea, I think this time everything will work out. Unfortunately right now because he works for the oh so not fabulous Miami Dade County Public School system, after not getting a raise for 2 years he, along with all the other people that have his job got a 20% pay decrease!aldflajdlfajf The way they did it sucks too as they're demanding they take 38 days off well it's beyond retarded and should be illegal since they can't take more than 10 days off at a time, so it's not like he can get a summer job to make up for the loss in pay. So hopefully he'll be able to score a job double his pay now so we can continue our schooling.
I'm kinda glad I never did finish my associates back when I was doing my Music Business thing because well, I would have been stuck with a degree in something I actually got bored with. My lack of motivation to go to concerts is pretty non exsisting sadly enough. Of course a lot of it has to do with not having money. The last concert I went to was to see Avenged Sevenfold, Atreyu and some other bands including Skindred and that was back in December. The only reason I even went was because of my crazy obsession with A7x. Besides that, I can't remember the last time I did go to a concert :( I miss my little adventures and hopefully one day Odvar and I will be able to go on one :D
As far as wedding stuff, we're just going to get married in a courthouse somewhere. I've never imagined a wedding or reception of any sort. This is what I orginally wanted but then for about 1 month decided we would want something a little more "traditional" and well we just decided it wasn't worth all the money wasted on it. To us it seems like a waste and hell we were only looking to spend $4000-$5000. I rather we spend that money going to Europe for a few weeks. I also have this thing with numbers and we started dating January 15, 2005 011505 which doesn't really mean anything it just looks nice, to me, but I wanted to get married on a 15 as well and the only one available was in May on a Saturday and it really didn't mean anything to us. I then started playing with numbers and lo and behold there's 2 palindromic dates, 01/1/10 (which no one really writes 01, so yea...) but if you write out the whole year then you get 01/02/2010 as a palindromic number. 01022010 now to find a way to write 2's upside down and well, I'm a dork like that, plus it works with school starting 11-Jan so we'd be able to go on a mini-cruise/honeymoon and then take our real honeymoon in May/June. We'll probably just rent something out in May before we go and invite everyone to a party since we never did have an engagement party and don't plan on having any other sort of party. We'll buy a bunch of little spanish goodies and booze and spend no more than $500 on all that and I won't have the stress for having to plan a wedding that I or him don't care for.
I actually went and tried wedding dresses the other day. Oh my god it was such a nightmare, I'll post pictures one of these days. It was the worst thing ever and it's all because of my damn boobs, they are just ridiculously too damn big. I've been hitting the gym if I could lose 20 pounds hopefully they'll go down to maybe a DDD, that's my goal for now. That's pretty pathetic because I'm not fat at all.... alksjdflkajflkajdsf Actually I'll post pics if this posts right just so you can see the horror that was to try on a dress when the top was without exaggerating 5 sizes way bigger than the waist so it made me look HUGE so gross.
I can keep on writing but I won't bore the whole 3 people that will read this :D
