Last MVAL's with Class of 06 :(
I want to remember every single moment of MVAL's so here goes.
I ditched 6th period to go home around like 1:45 and I slept. Then it was 3:oo and I was like crap cuz MVALs started at 3:30. So got ready, picked up Bonnie to go to TAK. Just in time for the 1 mile. <3 to Tiffany for breaking 6!!! Even more <3 to Patricia for making it to NCS. Second!! And Chelsea for pushing it on even after she fell. Varsity Newark guy with crazy mohawk got 4:14 mile. :O He broke the entire league's record. And btw Jane, sorry I don't think he's very cure :/
Hung around, passing time, watching friends compete and Bonnie fill up her camera memory with a bajillion pictures. Then before long it was time to warm up for the 2 mile with Jane, my sister, and Anjali. Oh! 800's. Yay for Irene who got 2:38! PR! MMP! :D
So now about my race - the 2 mile. Coach Addison talked to me after warm up and said that I should relax and not be nervous because it was probably nerves plus the intense heat that killed me on Wednesday. So I remained un-nervous and just looked forward to the end of the race. And it was the best race ever! I can't remember a more relaxing and fun race where I still PRed. It was awesome because I gotta 13:29 (PR by 2 seconds), 4th place, and I don't think I ever had so much fun. I couldn't help smiling when I passed Kristen, Dawn, Arthi, Jen, and people cheering with crazy cheers of "GOOO S-O-N-I-A" or "GOOOO PEAKS" or "M-I-M-I-S-S-I-O-N" LOL I'm gonna miss them.
Then Varsity Girls was awesome. Everyone who gets the Argus - Read the second to last page of the Sports section. Liz, Katherine, Lauren swept 1st, 2nd, 3rd in the 2 mile. Sooo proud of them - especially Katherine. She like PRed by 45 seconds or something :O
Liz, Katherine, Lauren! All three finished 2 miles in under 12 minutes!!
Varsity Boys - Trevor was fifth. Very, very close to NCS.
After MVAL's was over, the best part. Chipotle burritos. Singing Happy Birthday to JR's mom. Getting yelled at by the waiter. Ramon and his video camera. Long car ride of us, Bo, Jenny&Brian to Neha's house. JR and his gangta music. Bo and his "hell yeah". Ben & Jerry's "Everything but The" pints. Kristen, Dawn, Anjali, Arthi, Jen. Miracle. Hot guys. Angelo (lol) Liz and Katherine's yummy, yummy brownies. All the seniors. =( I'm sooo gonna miss them next year; it just won't be the same.
