So.
la_folle_allure and I have kind of bonded (I think-correct me if I'm wrong!) over the fact that HEATH LEDGER IS PLAYING THE JOKER *cries*. And, yeah, she tagged me for a meme. And memes are fun-seriously, I think they are. I know there are some lame ones out there, but really. Besides, doing it will take my mind off the fact that HEATH LEDGER IS PLAYING THE JOKER.

1. So, about the whole comic book thing? I got introduced to superheros through cartoons, like most kids, and when I first found out that there were comic books about them, I remember being so psyched. I mean, I was a rabid reader and I loved arts and crafts, so in my mind: reading with pictures? Perfect. But my mom wouldn't buy any for me, like a lot of moms. I think it also had to do with the fact that I'm a girl, and comic books were still "for boys". So, I'm still behind on my comic books, sadly, because I always had to buy them with my own money when my mom wasn't around. But, I did take a class this past semester in comic books, which really helped, and it was awesome. Slowly but surely, I will catch up. P.S. Batman will always be my fave, though.
2. Despite what I may have said about my mother above, she and I are extremely close. In fact, we're so similar in personality and looks (O_o;;;) that people call me by her name and her by my name at least once a week, no exaggeration. I answer equally to my name as I do hers.
3. I danced for 10 years of my life. Ballet, tap, jazz, lyric, modern, hip-hop, the whole bit. I love it. I miss it. I competed a bit, too, and I was decent. One of the reasons? I cannot listen to any music, even music I hate, without feeling something, physically, in my body. It's like my heart rhythm and rate change subconsciously. I can't explain it. It's not just a need to move to the music, I just feel the music, physically, inside of me.
4. I, quite literally, have a million dollar smile. I had so much orthodontics work that my smile costs more than that, and the work spanned 8 full years. (Again, I swear I'm not exaggerating.) I had braces at two separate times (3rd-4th grade and 8th-11th), I had headgear, I had a bionator (which, I'm sure, most of you have no idea what that is... it's a retainer that you constantly have to bite down on to fix an overbite, and mine was 12 mm), I also had two operations (one of which I was put under for, and for which there was a 50% chance that I would lose muscle control in my lower jaw). There was more, obviously. Those are the highlights. Let's just say the only thing I didn't have was a palate expander. And it's sad, because this will probably be my longest entry.
5. I'm studying acting in London next semester at the British American Dramatic Academy (BADA). Alums include: Orlando Bloom, Paul Giamatti, Paul Rudd, David Schwimmer, Jennifer Ehle, Oliver Platt, and Nicole Sullivan. Needless to say, I want to be an actor. Coming to terms with that? Not so easy. It's a scary thing to realize. The way I look at it now? It could be worse: I could want to be an athlete. So, there is at least one thing that's harder.
6. Aw... last one... there are probably other things I should write, but I'll use this anyway. I'm a total peacemaker. I hate confrontation and will bend over backwards to make people happy, though I am getting much better about it. Really, in all seriousness, I'm just a whore for making people smile/happy/laugh. I'm not a comedian, that's not what I mean, but I'm just the kind of person who will go out, see something, and buy it for someone just because I know it's perfect for them. Seriously: making people smile is my crack. When I know someone's down, my favorite thing in the world is to pick them up out of the dumps. If you ever need such services, you now know where to find me.
*phew!* That was harder than I thought! And it's LONG. Sorry 'bout that. I hope I don't regret anything I said... I am sorta tired... Oh well!
