Yea exactly, see I think society looks down upon trans people because they've made their own race, I thought the purpose of transitioning was to be the sex you felt because thats the only way to treat the disorder. But now all these people have created a big deal out of the intersexed world like they feel they don't need to take hormones or be one sex or the other, well that's whats making everyone think their freaks. They have pride fests for trans people, I just don't get it! I don't EVER want to look back at my past, I can glady ignore it for all it's worth and thats not much. How do doctors presribe hormones to people who eventually claim they enjoy being both sexes. I thought it was hard enough convincing them you need hormones to be the opposite but now they want to be both, they are the people who are screwing this up for us. but anyway sorry for rambling on lol, thanks for commenting, im glad theres someone out there that knows what im talking about, your exactly right, if you let people know your past, their going to look

i do want to clarify that "intersexed" is a group of physical medical conditions whereas people who identify as inbetween use "genderqueer", "intergendered" or "bigendered". somtimes people use the phrase "trans/gq/is" or similar to include everybody they can.
i am conflicted though. i have had a few genderqueer friends. two of them went on to transition. my one gq friend currently says that ze has as much dysphoria as other trans people and does consider hirself trans. my guess is that nearly everyone will filter out into the two socially accepted genders and in the next 5 years, ze'll transition. i mean have you ever met a 40 year old genderqueer person?
yes. i do agree that 90+% of the "trans community" is an embarrasment to the rest of us. i just created realgirlstm for us relatively normal trans girls. it is girls-only, hence the name as i believe there are similar communities for guys.
Right there is the intersexed community who actually are people living with a physical problem causing them to be that way but I really just don't get the ones who act manly one day and girly the next, but I'm not against that at all I like people having their own ways to express who they are but sheesh I plan on going stealth as soon as possible. But your right yea I think most people pick one sex or the other as they age maybe because it's the only way to be taken seriously, I know I'm not getting taken seriously because when most people hear the word trans they think of most of the people out their who play both the male and female or trans prostitutes or freaks as they say and it confuses them but all I want is to be accepted as what I really feel I am. But point taken, never met a 40 year old genderqueer, most all will conform to society's role of one gender, but hey I betcha they'll be at least one older genderqueer out there who comments back to us lol. Well I'd love to be your friend. Go ahead, I'll add you as well.
yeah, obviously having an intersexed condition doesn't mandate any sort of inbetween gender status or bouncing between roles which is why i have no idea why they say "trans/gq/is" or "LGBTQQI".
i think more trans guys tend to assimilate than girls. part of this has to do with the fact that testosterone is such a powerful hormone. to really be passable being an mtf, you need to start before 25. i started a couple weeks after my 20th birthday. i wanted to start 3 years prior but my parents freaked out on me and i got really scared of them. *sigh* in contrast, i've seen guys who transitioned at 40 look just fine (although i'm sure it helps to do it early). however, i'm sure there's the same social issues to deal with (e.g. lack of gender-specific childhood memories to share, relearning social interaction) that worsens with age. (my girlfriend is reading over my shoulder and says that those who don't transition turn into gargoyles... o... k... i'd be brooklyn... ^_^)
heh, actually yeah i should ask on genderqueer! i mean, i'm 20, i'm in college, a
