Slumdog Millionare
Even though this movie won Best Picture, I really didn't enjoy it. I don't like movies that are brutally honest combined with some bit of whimsy that just DOESN'T MAKE SENSE in the real world. Sorry all of you Slumdog lovers. Kevin and I had a nice date evening, and that was something.
If however you LOVED this movie, check out the book "A Fine Balance" by Rohinton Mistry. It's a very similar story about India and slumdogs. Just as brutal and unreal. Talks about beggar-collectors, slums, etc.
