back in the states
My last day in Paris I ate pot cake and rode roller-coasters in Disneyland Paris. It was awesome! I was so fucked up! I really am happy to be back and Kevin and I have been lucky enough to find a place to live right away. We are living 3 blocks away from the Sunset Transit Center, the next stop away from the Oregon Zoo max stop on the red and blue line. So that means that we are just BARELY outside the fareless square but paying $400 less for rent! Isn't that amazing! We were so excited. Plus we have a bigger apartment with a small back porch and a back yard to the side of our apartment since we are lucky enough to get the one on the end. I am very pleased. PLus it is month to month rent which is convinient if Kevin finds a house that he wants to invest in. But it doesn't rush us either. I like that.
I'm thinking about getting a dog. Since I still have Sugar but I think she makes my mom happier, I am considering buying a puppy and a kitten. Possibly a Shiba Inu or a German Shephard or Golden Retriever. The problem with the later two is that the breed lines in the USA right now are not very strong--- hip displasia for germans and skin problems for goldens. I would rather try the shibas because they are smaller and still sweet tempered. But still, I'm just renting right now. I don't really want to deal with buying high-maintenance pets--meaning puppies and kittens-- when I'm also looking for work. Hell, I'm unemployed I can't afford puppies and kittens... but DAMN I want them! I just want one of each too. Nice!
