pistons are going to the eastern conference finals, and the suns are going to the western conference finals!!!!!!!
and both beat their opponents (indiana and dallas, respectively) in game 6!
pistons game thursday night: very awesome, little slow in the beginning then the champs showed their true colors and "got er done." but there was a lovely ovation for reggie miller, very sweet and gotta show respect for the man's 18 seasons. but WE WIN SUCKAS!
suns game tonight: SO AWESOME. thought they were gonna lose for the first 3 quarters, but they came out (steve nash -as usual- and shawn marion were brilliant) strong in the end. steve nash tied it up with about 6 seconds left with a beautiful 3 (soooo sweet! loove that man!), and then they won in overtime.
gosh i want to see the suns play the pistons so badly. i don't know what i will do with myself though!
so i purchased the arcade fire cd today ("funeral"), and it is quite good.
i've also taken to listening to "nights with alice cooper" on 94.7, and damn is it awesome! as an advert for the show said, "who knew a guy who wrote a song about dead babies could be so funny?" now that's my kind of guy!! and the other day i heard this FUCKING SWEET blues song (by the paul butterfield blues band, anybody familiar with them?) that went on for like 10 minutes, and it was so raw and great that i got shivers.
ugh i've been so antisocial lately! time for a turnaround if i do say so myself.
no books finished yet :(
but! dane cook is coming august 27! i must go!
