NUTSHELL!

So I meant to finish this awhile ago, but I kinda forgot. Oh well, better late than never right?

So I am a million times happier in my classes this semester than last semester. What was I thinking going pre-med? I'm so glad I can take history and humanities classes again. Last semester was brutal. But this semester...my classes are so much happier. They're a lot of work but it's good work; work I enjoy doing. I'm reading and writing as opposed to solving equations and trying to...do chem stuff.

I'm also learning to play the piano in Music 101. It's actually pretty easy since I can already read music (granted, bass clef is kinda a pain). The course itself is really easy right now but I'm sure I'll learn something. Besides, I can always use another good mark towards my currently dwindling gpa.

But the true excitement is the extra curriculars that I'm taking part in. Chapel singers is wonderful. I don't know a lot of the kids yet, but I'm working on it. It's so good to be singing again. Some of my range is gone but I'm taking lessons this semester so it should be back soon...or at least I hope so.

Tomorrow I have an audition for Cabaret. My friend Lauren and I were in the dance audition yesterday (Tuesday) and the director (who's a senior) and the choreography (also a senior) were very impressed with us. Being the spy that I am, I was able to look over the directors shoulder and see happy little marks next to our names. So tomorrow we have the hard part, the singing. We've all been put in pairs and she and I were put with the two strongest female singers at the school who have been acting since they got here their freshman year (they're both seniors). Needless to say, I'm pretty scared. I would love to be a part of the show, even if it's just as an extra. I miss performing and I think Cabaret would be a pretty good way to start.

So that's my life in a nutshell right now. What's up with the rest of you?
