Rainy Days
I really shouldn't even dare to complain about the rain considering our weather has been wonderful compared to everyone else's...however the rainy weather has put quite a damper on my plans to do some oil paintings. I do all my oils outside (husband has an ultra-sensitive nose!) I have 2 paintings that are in progress and I really want to finish them already!!! It looked clear awhile ago when I went outside to take some pictures but now it looks overcast again.
I was looking back through my sold items and looking at these
gave me an idea. I think they look so cool grouped together that I thought I might do a larger collage piece with a bunch of small spin paintings put together. I spent a few hours this morning cutting up paper to use:
But again, the &^*%!!! RAIN! I do all my spin painting outside too. I'd have to be nuts to do it inside because I end up splattering more paint on my surroundings than I do on my art.
I am scared to go look in the garage~ our garage floods in the rain.
All my clean clothes were hanging outside to dry, and sure enough they got totally soaked. I suppose I should wash them all again. *sigh*
I guess today I will be working on book listings! And maybe finishing up fixing my store...I still haven't done that. I am not sure why I'm having such a hard time motivating to do it! It only needs just a FEW little tweeks and then I will be happy with it! (I hope!)
Mike has had us on a diet for awhile now. Totally his idea. We have both gained one size and it is really bugging him. I personally could care less. In fact my idea was to buy some new clothes and that would fix that problem. His idea was to go on a diet. Since he does all the cooking, he won. I thought I would really hate it but I've actually (mostly) been enjoying it. He's been fixing granola and fruit for us for breakfast, a salad for lunch, and then a normal enough dinner. I hadn't even been craving candy or sweets until today. He just went to target and I called him begging to bring me a candy bar and I am surprised that he said he will. So, yaaaaay for candy bars! I am looking forward to this one...
