It is true that some things have changed in your absence, that some social angst has been stirred up. I assure you it existed before, it is sporradic, it always will be like that. You were never personally involved before, and now you are being often squashed into a mediator position or asked to accept things which take time to adjust to.

I also think us folks back home are not the only ones who have changed. Perhaps part of this is *you* have changed and are seeing this ol' town and your friends though different eyes.

Rest assured, however, everyone was so gleefuly happy to have you back in the fold. I know I am trying not to think too much about you leaving because I am going to miss you so much all over again! It is unlikely that you will "lose your social place." Those of us who are your friends, at least I speak for myself, truly value your friendship. You do need a balance, as do I, between lone wolf and social butterfly. You need time to rest and recharge, and as a "visitor" one rarely gets that time. If you were living here, I think, although it might take some time you'd fit back in again and become accustomed to the social ideocyncrasies once more. I too get wander lust. I love to travel, to meet new people, have new experiences. I always like to come back to this old town. You might find you are done with Thunder Bay as your home, or you may come back here. As long as I am here, I will look forward to you being here again, either for a visit or to live for a while.

Have a good flight back to Toronto, and I am sure I will see you again before too very long.

*love*
