Superhugeamungous News!
Yes, that's right. I have finally done it. I have gotten myself a J-O-B! Most excellent. The downside. It's another mall gig, and it's all the way at Neshaminy mall, but hey, it's a job, so it's good enough for me.
After dinner, Jane E, my mother, Allie and I went to Neshaminy Mall. The first place we went was Spencers so that I could put in my application. While I was there I picked up a Stewie christmas tree ornament. The lady who took the application asked me if I could come back in an hour for an interview, in which I agreed. The time she told me to come back was 7, and it was 6:30 by the time I walked out of the store. So the three ladies walked to Payless for Allie and while we passed a video game store I decided to check out if they had any Sega Genesis games, but they didn't, so I went to look for the girls. For the rest of the half hour we were in Payless and walked to that bag store with all the cool Marilyn Monroe bags and stuff like that, then Jane E. told me that it was 7, so I went back.
I waited a couple of minutes before the lady took me out by the benches by JC Penny, or whatever that store is. She gave me the interview and told me she liked my personality. I start on this Friday. On the application I put that date down, but I didn't think that they would take me in on a Friday, especially on Black Friday. I mean, I guess I did, but for good measure I should have put Saturday or Monday's date instead. Oh well, it's a job. She kept telling me that Friday is their busiest day and that I should worry or freak out about coming in on a Friday for a first day. I start at 2:00 and depending on how much I'll be able to take for the first day I could either be working until 10:30, 8:00, or maybe 6:30. I think I'll be ok though. I told her too, that I'm not used to working around the holiday season, so it's all new to me. I didn't tell her that I'm scared to death to use the cash register, but I'm sure they won't put me on it right away. I'm a pretty slow learner too. I hope it works out though. I feel bad that I forgot the lady's name, but she was so nice. I was kinda nervous before the interview and a little during, but I wasn't as nervous as I thought I'd be. It's cool though, cuz I don't have to change anything on or about me. I can keep the piercings and I can wear what I want. She told me I can't wear open toed shoes or jeans that are ripped at the knees or have my butt sticking out, any of that kind of stuff. I laughed and was like "trust me, you have nothing to worry about with that stuff and me."
I'm excited, but it still bums me out to be working at Neshaminy mall for some reason. I dunno. Anyway, afterwords we went to Hot Topic where I bought those really awesome faux leopard print sneakers and The Devils Rejects fleece blanket. Then we went to Torrid where I got a pair of jeans, and that really pretty purple jacket I was debating on. It doesn't seem like much, but when you count up the dollars and cents, it was a lot. I told my mom that I wanted the Jacket to be a Christmas present cuz it was like 58 bucks or something like that. I hate spending that much on clothes, but for some reason that jacket was on my mind and I really wanted it. I don't think I've ever had something like that happen to me about clothes. Crazy. I think I've been watching too much Sex and The City, although I missed them this week.
Blah Blah Blah. Samm [Fallen_fizzgig] gave me my Christmas present early. She wanted to make sure it wouldn't have gotten lost during her move. I told her I was going to wait til Christmas to open it, or at least until I got her something, but I was straightening up my room [cuz we're hosting Thanksgiving] and I was afraid of putting it somewhere and forgetting it, and whatever it was, I thought maybe I could display it or something, so I just opened it. So Awesome! It's a hefty [pretty thick] book. It's all about Marilyn Monroe. Lots of pictures and then it's all about her life, her modeling days, her marriages and death, movies, etc. One day I'll get around to reading it, but there's tons of pictures. It's so cool. It was probably expensive too. Now I gotta find something super cool to give to her.
Oh damnit, I just remembered. I meant to stop at the book store and pick up a copy of Spin magazine. Fall Out Boy has the cover. Maybe when I go to work on Friday, I'll run around and get it during a break. Aww, how weird is that? When I go to WORK. Yay! I'm happy. Hope you all have a good Thanksgiving!!!! I'm sure I will.
