sigh
Well, it is extremely late, but I got a reminder from my friend that I haven't written in awhile...........so here goes the long and short of my day........
Middle school for kids is a tough time for both parents and children. Today, my eldest, in an effort to show me and his sensei that he could dictate, decided that after I dropped him off for karate that he would leave the dojo and not go back for the rest of the day. I showed up 3 hours later to drop his younger brother off for a class and found out he hadn't attended all day. As any parent would, I panicked.....where was my son? I began driving....I called one of my best friends, and she offered to come along so that I could get out of the car to look, if necessary, without taking Sam out each time. I called one of his good friends and asked if he'd seen Benj and got this response.......
"oh, yeah I did.....um, well, no, no, I didn't"
I asked again if he knew where Benj was....
"no, not really.........."
and of course, knew he was lying thru his teeth.
"Dyl, I dropped Benj off 3 hours ago at the dojo and I don't know where he disappeard. This is really important and I'm really scared. Please, if you know where he is, tell me."
"I'm not going there......."
"Ah, so you know where he is and just don't want to tell me....you don't want to get him in trouble?"
"Ummm....that about right."
"Thanks so much Dillon....I REALLY appreciate your help." (ok, I know, a bit passive/aggressive)
"Ummm....yeah."
What a jerk.........
I found Benj. We argued.....we cried....
Sigh........so that was the drama du jour. I'm really beat....it's 1 a.m., I didn't get the littlest down until 10:40 and then worked until I picked up this message. I've got to hit the hay, but will try and add something soon.
Thanks Sat, and sleep with angels. :) Oh, and all else is well. Jon got a raise, we may end up deciding to move (more on this later), etc. What's happening in your world??????
