omg i wish i like was intellectual enough to get into debates & deep conversations about this shit. just yesterday i read this article in the newspaper (lol i'm namedropping the nyt bc i never read the newspaper and this was like a Big, Grown-Up Deal to me I WAS REALLY IMPRESSED WITH MYSELF I'M STILL PATTING MYSELF ON THE BACK) about how like all of the movies coming out this summer are men-driven, for men, by men, about men, and the only women in them are sidenotes or only there to like... not even HELP the men but just as like a FUN ADDITION for the men and i tried to get into a convo about it with someone (probably my mom) but it just turned into "LIKE, BUT -- BUT WHY LIKE, -- BUT LIKE -- MEN ARE LIKE -- AND WOMEN LIKE -- AREN'T WE LIKE-- BUT -- THERE'S LIKE MORE AND LIKE -- BUT WE -- LIKE WE'RE --" and so i stopped.

it's something i'm interested in though so i'll read what you linked, because i never have before :)

this was an unhelpful comment oops. hi.
